The Project
The magnum opus projects is a collection of artwork by artists that are contributors to the DonuPop esthetic. This emerging art movement is part of the growing culture of alternative art the combines the dynamic and interrelated worlds of comics, anime, sci-fi and hip-hop, with elements of action cinema. These “Donu Artists” exhibit within the context of the Pop art tradition, yet in most cases, they also create what is conventionally considered commercial media —fashion, merchandise, graphic novels(comics) and animation —and are known for blurring the line between high and low arts.
It is our hope that through the understanding and exposure of this innovative artistic style, creators of all ages will become
inspired to follow their passions, gain skills and create.
Through this project, 7 different Donu artist will be invited on a annual basis to bring a unique prospective and style that gives this project a unprecedented look and feel.
Touring exhibit throughout art colleges and universities, the MOP will give insight into the Donu art theory and approach to work ethic standards through workshops, master
classes and discussions with Donu artists to build the interaction with future Donu artists and collectors.
As a result of this work, on an annual basis Magnum Opus Projects will be available in hardcover and digital formats allowing the creative developed throughout the year to be shared with audiences worldwide.
